Luxembourg:

Second game of the season and second large victory for our boys.
The team displayed a mix of very good rugby – ending almost always with a try – and some periods of anarchy.
Most of the tries came from fine colective moves opening the way for a boy to run into space.
It started at the 3rd minute when the backs recycled one ball in still in our half and Christopher
had plenty of space to run. In a similar move Gregoire scored the second in the 10th minute.
Two minutes later Benji scored after a good move involving several players. Three minutes later,
William scored from a ruck near the try area. Finally at the 22nd minute Lucas scored after another move
were support for the ball carrier was always available. Benji converted all the tries settling the score at half time 35-0.
Second half wasn’t much different. Since the begining Luxembourg camped in the opposition 22
and thanks to a good pressure from the forwards the ball went close to the try line were Seiji had just to fall on the line.
A few minutes later it was time to Lucas score his second when a good follow up and support ended with the ball in his hands
and space to run. Then Callum scored in a more individual way. We were in the 12th minute and from here the game became less interesting.
The rugby played lost structure with lots of individual actions, fauls and handling errors. However, towards the end,
the boys still had the chance of scoring two more tries. First by Gregoire in a good piece of counter attack and in the
last minute Christopher found a boulevard to score his second of the afternoon. Benji converted two making the final score 64-0.
The way the tries were scored and some opportunities just missed was very positive. One could see fine moves as a team and good individual skills.
The number of penalties conceded, specially in the breakdown, was the less positive in this game and lessons have to be learned in order
to avoid these mistakes in the future.
Well done.
